Highlights
Batshireet soum of the Khentii province is located at 417 km north-east of Ulaanbaatar. The dominant ethnic group belongs to hard-working Buryat tribes, semi nomadic people who are great at producing beautiful log houses, delicious butter, cream, wild berry jams, and locally branded breads. Onon Balj is the place where Mongolian pine, larch, and birch forests are combined location. The way to Batshireet is mostly very open wide steppe. Onon hot spring is located 120 km to the west of Batshireet soum and on the north of Duut Yan, Khentii mountain range.
The Onon hot spring is divided into two parts: Big and small, which are located 8 km distance between them. In the XYII century, there was a temple called Navaanjalba, which was about 60 marmot lamas near the spring. In the winter, some 600 to 1200 people came to purify their bodies and purge their health. Historical famous people-Undur Gegeen Zanabazar, the first Khalkha Setsen Khan Sholoy, the Khalkha Zaya Bandid Luvsanperenlei and Agmal Nansaddorj came to here. There were 108 wells at the time. As a result of the Onon River flooding, overgrowth and its deterioration, now there are around 10 wells.
Self-drive: It is possible to drive the car itself during the trip and it will be extra charge.
Note: * The price per person will depend on the size of the group.

Even though Mongolian winter is cold, winter tour was special. Eruu natural hot spring is wonderful. When weather is -30, stay in hot spring +60C - quiet and peaceful. The lunch is in a comfortable winter tent. It is very good local food. /2019.02-Eruu hot spring/
