Highlights

This is the truly Mongolian wilderness experience and it has breathtaking landscapes. Khagiin khar lake and Kherkhruu three lakes are a hidden and beautiful lakes in the deep forest, located in the Khan khentii mountain range. The lakes are located around 180 km northeast from the capital city Ulaanbaatar.

Khagiin Khar Lake, formed during the Quaternary glaciation, lies at 1,817.3 meters above sea level. It is fresh water lake and recognized as the biggest lake from the group of lakes in the Khentii Mountain Range.

The three lakes are named upper lake, middle lake, and lower lakes. Road to the lake is covered with marshes, small rivers, mud and willows. The way to the lake is very difficult feels almost no road, so travelers mostly get there by hiking in or by helicopter. Our experienced crew with off-road vehicle will lead to the travellers to the lake with speciliazed and tested many times safe and secret routes also it is comfortable and adventurous. The Khan Khentii park is almost completely uninhabitiated, as such it become home of wild and indangered animals: moose, brown bear, wild boar and wolf, and to more than 250 species of birds.
